ISABELLE RUSSO

I'm an Italian - American actress often traveling between London, New York & Italy.

Growing up dancing, I was always drawn to the stage and after seeing a school production of Macbeth at 7 years old, I was hooked.

I have a degree in Political Science & Theatre from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. I did my Masters at LAMDA in London, and liked it so much I stayed! I come from an Italian family, so I have Italian (EU) Citizenship and can speak Italian as well.

I've worked extensively in the New York theatre scene, playing many of Shakespeare’s heroines, most notably the precocious & strong willed Juliet and the poised but damaged Ophelia. I am also a co-producer and founding member of the NY based feminist theatre company Spicy Witch Productions. I have sketch & Improv training and a strong movement background.

I often play a charming & elegant young women with a surprising amount of backbone. I love a sarcastic comedy as well, but can't help having a sprinkle of sweetness and a twinkle in my eye. Most recently, I tackled a leading role as a determined, yet ultimately doomed activist in an indie SciFi thriller.

When I'm not acting, I moonlight as a Certified Classical Pilates Instructor. I love to bake (yes, even before the pandemic), explore new cities & cultures or be immersed in nature.
